Hydrangea is a genus of about 70 to 75 species of flowering plant native to southern and eastern Asia.

Most are shrubs 1 to 3 meters tall, but some are small trees, and Lianas reaching up to 30 meters by climbing up trees.

Lily of the Valley grows in the spring into new leafy shoots. The stems grow to 15-30 cm tall, with one or two leaves 10-25 cm long.
