Daffodils
The
Narcissus whose common name is Daffodils. Daffodils have a large number of varieties.
Usually the tiny flowers of daffodils have a pale yellow color.
The wild species
of daffodils have only six leaves around locular ovaries which usually grow as
triplets. Daffodils grow from a bulb which has alkaloid poison named lycorine. The name
Daffodils is derived from an earlier “Affodell”, a variant of Asphodel.
